"Arizona Classic Broncos Stampede", March 2003 cont...... |
|
Once the tents were all set up, we heard about a little impromptu get together on Lower Woodpecker. This is a very popular area for spectators. It has every level of difficulty and different lines for everyone to try! When we showed up there was about 20 vehicles staged to play!
This weekend had a lot of "FIRSTS". Steve George and I have been trying to get on the same piece of dirt together for years it seems. WE finally did it! It was great to place the name with a face! He is trying one of the more difficult routes through the mouth of Woodpecker. Talk about one nice rig!
All levels of experience and equipment showed up. I believe the story with this person was first time out with his Bronco. He took a hard bounce and his fan went into his beautiful aluminum radiator. I know his fingers were crossed at the raffle for the one that Duff's was giving away!
Don and Tim give the crack a try. Don really enjoyed the low gear set. He is no longer the "BULL IN THE CHINA SHOP". Didn't take him long to develop real finesse.
Vinnie took a challenging line through the Z-turn part of Lower Woodpecker. All new suspension finally getting a work out!
Absolutely love the detail put into his rig!
This was Steve from Complete Offroad. With his new body and suspension it totally rocks! Look at that flex!
Not your ordinary line through Woodpecker. If
there are a group of wheelers in the desert, you can pretty much bet that
Steve has worked on at least a couple of those rigs! His work and
attention to detail shows on all the rigs he works on! You can find him at: Complete Offroad 225 South 35th Ave |

continue to part III! | |
Just take me to all the pics!
