Frigid ride to the Spars Nov 2009 Took a week of vacation through Thanksgiving so called Curt up and took a ride Tuesday to Prescott to have breakfast at Zeke's. Super chilly morning with temps in Prescott in the high 30s... later on we met up with Les in Yarnell and did a loop through Bagdad! Great day and over 300 miles! Flagstaff single track Nov 2009 Johnny called up for a mid week ride. Needed some ideas of where to ride so I suggested Flagstaff. I have always wanted to do single track around the San Francisco Peaks. With winter coming soon this would be close to our last chance to get a ride in before the weather changes. What a amazing time! Canyon MX Park Nov 2009 Tim wanted to try out his YZ426, Shelby wanted some more seat time and I needed some therapy so we loaded up and went to check out Canyon's new MX track! Early Morning SOMO run Oct 2009 James posted up a run to South Mountain on Southwestrides.com. My bike came out of the shop with the check engine light on so I didn't think I was going to make this trip, but I got a call from Curt that he had bought another supermoto (KTM 690) and I could ride his CRF450X SuperMoto! What an incredibly fun ride! Super great hanging with Curt, KC and James! Chuck's Birthday at Speedworld Oct 2009 We had a great time celebrating Chuck's birthday at Speedworld. Super thanks to Paul, Johnny and our families for making it a wonderful day. Dual Sport ride to Crown King Oct 2009 I was looking for a semi-mellow run to get back into the swing of things after my shoulder surgery... a mix of street and dirt sounded perfect! Russ posted a ride on Southwest Rides and we had 5 total for an awesome day of riding! Trouble's Big Loop Sept 2009 This was going to be the big test! Back on the bike after my extensive shoulder surgery in May. 400 miles of the most beautiful curvy roads in Arizona. I made it as far as Verde and had to turn south due to a blown fork seal. Had a blast with everyone and looking forward to doing it again! Neil Slater Memorial Qualifier April 2009 This was the 4th event in the 2009 AMRA series. Nestled in the beautiful pines north of Prescott. This race was epic! Varying elevations, rocks, vistas and good competition was the right mix for the weekend! Check out the pictures! Cleaning up the garage April 2009 We needed to make room for Shelby's new bike! YZ250....thank you Bill for a great deal on the bike. We took the kids quads out of the garage and organized a bit! Desert practice at The Boulders April 2009 Got an invite from Don at the Off Camber MC's family bowling day to do some practice laps out at the mile markers. Other than being a little thick headed from margaritas the night before the day went well! Thanks Don, Donnie, Chad and William for a great ride! KC's Spars run April 2009 We made a day of it running through Yarnell, Spars and into Prescott for lunch at Zeke's. From there we split the group and Tim, Tim, James and myself heading over to Verde, Strawberry and Payson. Great weather, great friends, new faces and no performance awards! Swift Cycles Grand Opening/CycleZone Stunters April 2009 Swift had a grand opening for their Arrowhead store. Free food, drink, CycleZone Stunters, 98 KUPD, Rockstar girls and much much more! And check out the video of this massive burnout! TRS San Manuel Copper Classic March 2009 This was the 3rd race in the AMRA 2009 Season. The event was held in the quaint town of San Manuel AZ. TRS did a fantastic job with the event. I finally got that elusive 1st place in my class. The course flowed nice and was a nice mix of dirt, rock and sand! Click here for the video from the 1st 30 minutes of the race! Snow, Spars and Sean Feb 2009 Sean and I needed a Spars fix so headed up the mountain on the street bikes. Something really un-natural with street bikes in the snow! Rockstars Classic III Feb 2009 This was the 2nd race of the AMRA 2009 Season. The event was held at the Gila County Fairgrounds in Globe AZ. The Rockstars did a fantastic job. It was great to get a practice in on Saturday. Sunday's race was a blast! I managed a 3rd in class and 8th overall!!! Enjoy the pics... |
