Got a call from Shirk that he was putting together a Pismo Beach, CA trip. I have been trying to make it over there for 20 years! The timing was right on! We all were due for a ride! I contact Johnny, Terry, and mom. Khris got ahold of Amy, Travis, Alexis, Destiny, Mike and George! Khris' group came up from San Diego, we all carpooled from Phoenix. | |

We were about two hours delayed due to a flat on the
trailer which took out the tail lights, truck fuses and ticket from AZ
Highway Patrol. But nothing was going to stop us!

Once we got to Pismo we met up with Travis and Amy
and set up camp!

Everyone else wasn't due in till the next day.
We had the dunes all to ourselves. I took a nap after we set up
camp. When I woke up everyone else went to bed! :) I
talked my mom and Mike to do a night run. Mike brought his guitar and
we sat up on the highest dune watching the night lights and listening to
Mike's awesome music.

Overnight Terry and Johnny had rolled in. By
morning mom had to run to the rest room and didn't realize that Johnny had
tied off his bike and Terry's bike to her quad. When she gassed it
she pulled the bikes over putting a big hole in Johnny's side cover.
Khris to the rescue again. In his bag of tricks he had some high
speed drying apoxy!

We had a fun day of riding in the dunes. Got to try out some "sweet
jumps" <-- Napoleon Dynamite voice! Got my no footer in for the day.
Khris and Johnny got some good air too!

Alexis, Destiny and George had showed up that
evening. George whipped up some kick ass ribs! Destiny and
Alexis made the first round of GROG for the evening! Very yummie!
Some people were looking kind of rough the next morning. Eh Mike?

We all headed out to the dunes! Trying to find
the perfect dune to launch off. Great riding with everyone!
Best jump of the day was by Mike. We were doing alot of bike
swapping to feel the difference between the Yammies and Hondas. Mike
sky'd it with Johnny's Honda!

Alexis and gang went into town and made a new 5
gallon batch of Bahamamas. We got out of camp to go screw off before
the sun went down. We ended up on the side of a
dune trying to horseshoe the bikes with the handlebars nearly in the dirt!
The roost fest was on! Best pic goes to Travis for an awesome sunset
turn!
Funniest pic goes to Johnny for trying to roost Travis while he was down and crashing himself!!

We got back to camp right a sunset to a very drunk
crew that stayed back with the Bahamamamas. Didn't take long to
catch up. Especially when you are playing "Drinking Jenga"!
What a blast that was!

That trip went all too fast! We found
ourselves hung over, packing up camp and heading home. Saying our
goodbyes till the next time. We really enjoyed everyone's
hospitality and friendship! Can't wait till the next time guys and
gals! On the way home Khris had us stop in Santa Barbara to pick up
a pre-runner truck he was buying. Pretty cool truck and it came with
a model!

| We did suffer another flat tire on the trailer on the way home. DAMN CARLISLE TIRES! I have had it with them. Discount put all new Greenball tires on there. I hope they last longer then the Carlisle's. But overall..... what an incredible experience with George, Mike, Travis, Amy, Johnny, Khris, Terry, Nila and Destiny! Let's not forget the surfing seals, the jumping whales and dolphins! Great weather! Great sand! | |
