3rd Annual Arizona Rocks with our Utah friends! Early Saturday morning we were supposed to meet at Denny's. Mike, Todd, Vince and Keith were the only shows for breakfast. Fred called and said he would meet us at the trailhead. John, Marty, and Tom must have been enjoying the continental breakfast at the motel room, because they never showed, not even for the trail! We started around 9:30am and decided to try Lower Terminator. We knew it would be a challenge because of the recent rains.

On the way to most of the trails in the area, you have to cross the Aqua Fria river. Anything goes after a heavy rain. At the deepest it was about 3 foot deep. Not too bad for a lifted truck.
About the third obstacle we encountered deep water! Fred didn't know what to think. His truck kept going deeper and deeper. |
|
As Mike was climbing the rock on the driver's side, it forced the rear end deeper into the hole. His tail light never worked the rest of the weekend.
I already don't like Whiteline. Especially wet!!! Mike decided to give it a try. Wet Swampers on granite make for a slippery combination. He slid off the line and just about went over! His awesome driving skill got him out of trouble with a few bodies and a strap on his truck! |

Everyone likes to try and get a tire in the air at the "Z" turn obstacle. Fred takes and inside line to clear his passenger side fender.
Mike, not to out done, took a really high line. He got a little more air then he bargained for! It took all four of us pushing on his truck to get it back to terra-firma! |
|
After Lower Terminator we ventured over to Predator. I got a little sideways coming through this section! |

Ah yes...... the poser pics! |

Fred showing off what a well built Blazer can do in the rocks! |

Really nice flex on Mike's Bronco! He is checking the clearances on the springs, shocks, steering, etc etc! |
|
Mike parked on a desert flower....ah....pile O shiate! |
|
Any 4 wheeler just can't get enough at the end of the day! One last hill climb for the view of the day! |
